SERVICES:
“It is never too late to be who you might have been”
~ George Eliot
Your concerns are paramount and I aim to focus on where your needs are, whether this is related to the present, past or future. I draw on models such as person centred, cognitive behavioural and transpersonal therapy. I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist; research by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends that this modality can be beneficial for trauma related events.
I am able to work with presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem etc. Additionally I hold a specialism in trauma: Acute Trauma/Post Traumatic Stress (single incident: Crime, accidents, natural disaster), Chronic Trauma (Repeated, prolonged trauma such as domestic violence, bullying and war) as well as Complex Trauma (Relational/Developmental traumas such as abuse & neglect).
I am able to offer both short and long term work. It’s usually helpful to review the work at 6-sessioins intervals to ensure that your needs are being met appropriately.
I adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding policies, holding an up-to-date DBS/CRB check.
Fees:
I offer a half price initial and non-obligatory exploration session. This will enable us to get a sense of how we can work together.
I charge £55-£65 for a 50 minute counselling session (Face-to Face or Skype/Zoom)
EMDR sessions are charged between £65-£75 per session.
